Overview

The purpose of the National Security Long-term Insights Briefing is to grow awareness and foster public conversation about our national security.

The briefing covers some of the global trends impacting our national security, and, explores some of the threats and challenges we face in Aotearoa New Zealand. It looks at how these threats and challenges may change over the next 10 to 15 years and what work is underway to prepare for the future.

We have identified 10 features that would support a bright future for our national security and help us to better engage an increasingly diverse Aotearoa New Zealand on national security risks, challenges and opportunities.
